All about the ñapa, no fine print

Pase Ñapa is a digital pass with perks at partner restaurants, cafés, experiences and hotels across Colombia: a discount on food, 2-for-1 drinks at cafés, 2-for-1 experiences and the second hotel night free. The «ñapa» is the little extra a Colombian shopkeeper throws in for free.

Pase Viajero: $49.900 COP for 7 days, restaurants, cafés and experiences. Pase Esencial: $89.900 COP per year, restaurants, cafés and experiences. Pase Plus: $149.900 COP per year, restaurants, cafés, experiences and hotels. Family option: $60.000 COP more, up to 4 people. Prices include Colombian VAT (IVA).

Pase Viajero lasts 7 days and Esencial a year; both cover restaurants, cafés and experiences, without hotels. Pase Plus lasts a year and is the only one that includes hotels (second night free).

The first 100 Pase Plus are sold at $99.900 COP instead of $149.900 COP.

For $60.000 COP more, up to 4 people use the same pass, each from their own phone. Uses per partner are shared on the account.

The discount applies to food and depends on how many of you are at the table: 2 people 50 %, 3 people 40 %, 4 people 30 %, 5 or 6 people 20 %. Drinks are charged at the normal price.

At cafés it's 2-for-1 on drinks: for every drink you pay for, another one is the ñapa, up to 2 per visit, and the cheaper drink is the free one; food is charged at the normal price. For experiences sold per person it's 2-for-1: you pay one admission and the other is the ñapa (the cheaper admission is the free one); for private tours (per group or per vehicle) the ñapa is an included extra or 20 % off the group price, as shown on the listing. At hotels (Pase Plus only) you pay one night and the second is free: the cheaper night is the free one. What's on the house is always the lower-priced item.

One ñapa per year at each partner, per account: restaurants, cafés, experiences and hotels. That way every outing is somewhere new. Some partners set blocked dates (for example, public holidays); you'll always see them on their listing.

During Colombia's long holiday weekends («puentes», from the first to the last day, per the official calendar and the Emiliani Law), only hotels change (Pase Plus): 3 nights for the price of 2. Restaurants, cafés and experiences keep their usual ñapa. Each partner may opt out of some long weekends: it's shown on their listing, and in that case there's no ñapa on those days.

Not at restaurants: the discount is on food only and drinks are charged at the normal price. At cafés it's the other way around: the ñapa is on drinks (2-for-1) and food is charged at the normal price.

You buy your pass and carry it on your phone. At each partner, you scan the QR code at the entrance, choose how many people you are and show the «Ñapa ready!» screen before paying. That easy.

The «Ñapa ready!» screen shows the partner's name, a live clock and a code of the day that changes every day. Staff compare it with their partner dashboard: a screenshot won't work.

Yes: to validate a ñapa your phone needs a connection when you scan the partner's QR code.
